Girl power in the pandemic

The pandemic didn’t stop women to be empowered and known by the whole world.    According to European Institute for Gender Equality, empowering women is a process by which women gain power and control over their own lives and acquire the ability to make strategic choices. Women have a significant contribution to our society; we owe them from who we are right now. This is more than enough cause to empower them and show them how much they are appreciated. Moreover, the pandemic did not deter women from continuing to be powerful. Young girls are inspired by these strong women to achieve, make their own decisions, and feel worthy of their life.

The ideology of women being empowered is not a bias judgment with the other genders we have, unless if it is being abused. Women play an important role in this recent pandemic situation. Some of them are well-known leaders who engaged in the community's management during the outbreak. Some are front-line workers who put in long hours to protect and care for our health. Some were our pride and joy, having achieved recognition in areas such as sports, the arts, theatre, and so on.

A variety of articles, posts, and activities like this that advocate for women's empowerment have helped me to broaden my understanding of women's empowerment. Knowing where I belong is extremely important to a young lady like me. This not only helped me gain knowledge, but it also helped me gain confidence in the decisions I make.

Women's month may be over, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't appreciate and respect women already. The knowledge we've gained should be applied to our daily lives. This blog, hopefully, has been useful in providing information and lessons about how we should view women. We should promote women's empowerment or simply acknowledge women as important members of our community.
