The Untold Voice of the Countrymen

Dear Mr. President,

Your words in the debate last Election 2016 made me think that you were and can end our country’s unsolved issues. You were meant to put the using of illegal drugs and crimes an end. I believed you were the catalyst for change in the Philippines. Positive feedbacks have been given to you as many Filipinos believed your words. But as time goes by, I conclude that we are totally mistaken.

You did a lot for our country, both good and bad, but the negative is more memorable to me since it had a bigger impact on us. I agree with your ideology in putting dangerous drugs an end but the solution is what I don’t agree of. Criminals are humans too. The implemented right about illegal drug possession which is the R.A. 9165 is only minimizing the number of drug users/pushers in our country it’s not definitely putting it on end as what you’ve said in the past years. The power that the Philippine National Police have is bothersome especially for us civilians. Many have been reported about police abusing their power. You and the government handled the pandemic badly, and now the people of our country are paying the price for your and the government's mistakes. The Philippines is one of just two countries in the world where classes have yet to return into face to face learning.

I hope you would still look in to other issues in our country because the life of your fellow countrymen is at stake. I also hope that you would be considerate of the people’s suggestions; our voices because we just want our country to improved. Although I understand it is hard to be a leader in a country, but you we’re meant for taking the responsibilities in your shoulder. No one pushed you to run for the president position and yet the Filipinos are the one who suffered for your bad management. I loathe you and what you do as a president, and I believe the majority of the public does as well.

  2. I share the same thoughts! the bad weighs more than the good that he did. I hope a divine intervention comes and make the president reflect on his actions. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Diane!
