Christmas beyond tragedy

Our Savior's birth, Jesus Christ's, is rapidly approaching. Due to the pandemic, Christmas may be different this year than the past years. Regardless of this tragedy, let us delve into the true meaning of Christmas.

In our country, the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing. Coronavirus is spread primarily through social gatherings, and we are particularly vulnerable during the holiday season. Not because we're in a pandemic, we will no longer celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, No. There are only a few Christmas traditions that we are accustomed to that we are unable to follow at this time. Now that the pandemic in our country has finally subsided, we may be able to attend some holiday gatherings; however, we must remember to wear face masks, maintain a safe distance from others, and use alcohol-based rub to protect ourselves from the virus's infection risk. There's a good chance we'll get infected by the virus if we don't follow the safety protocols, especially if we're attending a large event or somewhere with a lot of people.

Instead of being afraid of the virus, let us be brave and trust our Lord's process. Covid should not detract from our Christmas celebrations. The true essence of Christmas is having time to reflect on and understand the lessons taught by Jesus. This season, let us spread more hope, peace, joy, and love. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
